Good Overview of the Powers or Power Point

If you are looking to make your training materials better without opting for - say - Articulate Storyline (which is great), then opting for Power Point is a good enough choice. This book can serve as a bridge between the basic use of Power Point and the huge guides that are available. It gets right to the point and tells you the basic approaches to using the software to training design advantage. If you are using an older version of Power Point you might want to purchase the older version of this book. This volume does orient the reader to key differences in the new version and the older versions of Power Point that relate to e-learning design.

Very educational and informative book, used it for my e-MBA classes, has plenty great information, was able to get some new ideas and tips for management classes and was able to implement those. Would highly recommend to everybody, who is looking for improvement in life and learn new job skills.

This book my change your mind about PowerPoint.

When thinking about presentation programs, I can honestly say that PowerPoint is the last one on my list. I’m drawn to more challenging and creative programs such as Adobe Premier, Photoshop or After Effects. Jane Bozarth’s “Better Than Bullet Points” invites the novice and advanced presentation practitioner to rethink their whole design from learner to design and then presentation. She teaches new ideas and techniques and reminds us of basic design techniques. Her book may not answer every question, but it challenges one to plan more and use more of the powerful technology in PowerPoint. Your next presentation will be better planned and have more engaging attributes because of Jane’s book. Her book is a resource to come back to whenever you need guidance and instruction in how to create relevant presentations that are more exciting and fun.
I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to make a presentation that is beyond just bullet points. Just using a few of Jane’s ideas will improve any template-generated presentation. Her links and samples give detailed explanations of the concepts and techniques she is trying to pass on to the reader. I would suggest that her book be one of the resources in your office library.
