A well thought out book about drawing roses.

If drawing or painting roses is your thing, get this book. For me, the best part of the book is how the author analyzes the rose. Thinking about what you're looking at in this way, the approach Liron Yankonsky's recommends in How To Draw Roses: For The Extreme Beginner and The Seasoned Artist could easily apply to all species of flowers.

Very good book, especially for beginner artists!

I don't have a lot of experience in art and after my recent breakup I decided to take up drawing as a hobby (especially landscapes and nature). This book was a really easy-to-follow guide. I particularly like how the author takes the reader step by step and uses a lot of detail when teaching. I improved a lot.. My drawings literally went from elementary to real.

How To Draw Roses: For The Extreme Beginner and The Seasoned Artist

This book is great, it helped me immensely... I used it as a quick reference guide to draw roses in different angles, and of differnt types.

I also want to point out,that this book just reads so easily. It is obvious that the author is well experienced in teaching art, and actually cares about my success in learning. I also read the author's other book on drawing in perspective ( was free for few days!!!) and the same is true for that

All woman will tell you that attending an event of any kind alone is always embarrassing. You feel every one staring at you, and in the end for most of the time you don't even attend at all if you cannot find that vital piece of arm-candy.

For Emma this is so not the case, she has an arrangement with the very hotter than hot Dan. He's her hero whenever she needs him to be, perfect ! But lusting after him in secret was never part of the plan yet she goes with the flow and just let's it be.

Dan has always been cool with the arrangement, it's all for fun, but then suddenly Emma calls off the arrangement and he feels just a little more than annoyed.

So when she begs him for one last time to be her knight in shining armor or rather the drowned moron that needs to slick off without the girl, he decides he has to grab the chance to prove to Emma he is worth keeping around.

I loved, loved, loved this book! It was heartfelt, emotional and so awesome. The characters had fire and passion that made the read so intense it completely blew me away. The character of Dan was yes a bit of an ass, but with good reason. He can see Emma is hiding in the shadows but cannot get her to crawl out from it, and this of course drives him mad.

It reminded me that in real life we all do the very same, we think we are out in the open for all the world to see and when we see someone not taking the chance to act on something we want to tell them how to do it. But we don't stop to think that the person has a very good reason for what they are doing. This makes us mad but also completely blind and let's us look past our own failures in life.

The character of Emma was super fun to read ! I enjoyed her nutty family and her always acting as best she can to "hide " them and their antics. I loved how the author used Dan to bring out the real Emma from the shadows and let's her blossom into this stunning real woman.

I am taking away a message of when we find a person who challenges us to be the real person you know you can be, don't push them away. It will be a long and hard road to happiness but it will be worth it.

I recommend this read for all fans of the HK line. The read was fun, romantic and so very sexy!

I love this author's voice, it's so fun and engaging. The characters in this book are wonderfully drawn and I wanted them to get together from the off. A sexy and entertaining read.

Groundbreaking

David Williamson's `Smart Masturbation for Men' is definitely one of those rare books that make you do a double-turn and check if your eyes were fooling you. Yes, it's about male masturbation, and as it turns out, there are smart, more pleasurable ways of doing it. Williamson had me at "last longer, have great sex!"

It's hard to talk about `Smart Masturbation for Men' without snickering--male masturbation is not exactly one of those highly revered topics on human sexuality. But make no mistake about it, this is a book that can deeply enhance the way men derive pleasure on their own. A must-have book for ALL men, everywhere.

While I am sure I will take a huge amount of ribbing from my buddies for doing it, I just finished reading "Smart Masturbation for Men- How to Jerk Off Like a Pro, Last Longer, Have Great Sex, More Intelligence and Real Happiness" and I have to admit that I was thoroughly blown away by it (no pun intended).

Frankly, I had no idea that there were so many different techniques for masturbating. While I have definitely experimented over the years if you would have told me before I read this book that there were 30 or 40 different masturbating techniques I would said you were crazy!
With admittedly funny sounding names like " Finger Plucking with a Squeeze" and "Windshield Wipers Over your Balls" a person couldn't be blamed for thinking that this book is a bit of a joke but, after reading the entire thing, I can tell you honestly that this book, and its author, are definitely not joking around.

The main goal that the author has is simply to introduce new masturbation techniques to men everywhere as well as helping them to enjoy masturbation a LOT more, enjoy sex in general and get to know their bodies and better. More than just a book about how to masturbate, this tome will help any man to really explore their body and their sexuality (and get a lot of pleasure in the process).
Of course the emphasis of the book is on masturbation and, in that respect, it definitely is completely and utterly thorough. The author, David "SexGuy" Williamson has really gone all out to not only introduce new techniques but also to explain how to use them in easily comprehensible and exhaustive detail.

Lots of information on the subject

If my friends knew I bought a book like this they would probably give me crap about it for years. So let me start by saying that it is their loss because this book is amazing.

I never knew that there were so many techniques for jerking off. For years I used the same old techniques that I thought were the only "right" way to do it. When I started trying out the techniques in the book I realized what I had been missing. It's really like discovering masturbation all over again. That alone made the book well worth it.

Other than jerking off, The book contains a lot of tips to help your sex life. The section on how to last longer was very interesting and had some concepts that I've never heard of. The book is great and I'm still going reread it as a reference and I still have some techniques that I need to try out.

I guarantee you that every man will cherish this book for the rest of his life!

Fantastic projects that are very well explained

This is the book you're looking for if you're ready to take that next step into steampunk. If jewelry collage assemblages made with watch parts and sewing miniature top hats isn't doing it for you and you want to go bigger.

The author starts by explaining a bit about steampunk, it's origins and what it is stylistically speaking, and also what it is not.

He explains the tools and skills you'll need and how to find some of the tools less expensively . He tells you what tools will be necessary and which tools are wonderful to have if you can find room and afford them.

Then he goes into wonderful amounts of detail about how to find the pieces you need for your projects through thrift stores and other second hand dealers and what you can buy new. How to look in hardware stores for inspiration and using things in new unexpected ways. To me, this isn't just about steampunk, but it's the heart of crafting and the D.I.Y. ethic, to see creatively how things can be re-purposed and recycled.

A very practical chapter on taking apart an old clock for parts comes next.

The projects! Starting with the one thing everyone needs, goggles and ending with a cyber arm that looks like it might have come off a cylon if the cylon was built in Victoria's England. They have imagination inspiring names like "Aetheric Ray Deflector Solid Brass Goggles" which can be just a little scary. Don't worry. While this book has "only" 8 projects, those projects are explained and photographed in exhausting detail. This is a primer to various methods of making things and using things. The information will be used in other projects you think of yourself.

Some power tools are helpful, as well as knowing how to use them. If you're not comfortable with serious tools, almost everything in the book can be done with hand held manual tools and small easy to use power tools like rotary tools and power drills.

What I like most about this book is how much it inspires my 20 year old son. He's been reading steampunk for a few years and getting more interested in making himself costumes and other things that follow that aesthetic.

I definitely recommend this book. It's well written and accessible with great projects.

Intermediate to Advanced Maker's Guide to Steampunk Projects

The publisher sent this to me to review. I am a painfully honest and direct to the point reviewer, so without further ado...

The book is a nice large format. I am not a fan of paper backs however. The book is easily identifiable on a shelf of what it is all about. I LOVE the instructions in this book. Nice & step-by-step. It includes a list of materials needed for each project. It is very much a manual for creating. They've got everything from goggles, pith helmets, electronic media enclosures to mechanical arms. And more. The skill level ranges it seems from Intermediate to Advanced. I say this because most the projects need more than just a Dremel and hot glue. Those would be beginner level things. I like the number of photos they put in the book, however some of them seem a *tad* low-resolution for me. The paper in the book is between matte & gloss, let's say satin. It feels a little cheapy but when I thought about it, if you have a manual you wouldn't want high gloss because you couldn't read it. And you wouldn't want matte because you'd get dirty finger prints everywhere. So it is a good compromise.

All in all, I'd recommend this book to anyone who has a nice little shop going on. Or someone who hosts/goes to a build day where machinery is available. Mostly mechanical and weaponry type stuff in this, no real feminine type things (like hats, fascinators, corsets, clothing type things). I'm sure my boyfriend Captain La Grange will take a hold of this book and make something from it before I do. In fact, he opened the package when it came because he knew I was expecting it. I told him all the pros & cons I listed above and he generally agreed to all of it.

Anyway, good luck in creating if you get this book!
